UFC 91, while not the most exciting of PPVs, does have one thing going for it and that thing is a 285 lb monster that gave Heath Herring a beating of a life time. This, however, does not mean all of the other fights are complete garbage. One of my two favorite TUFers, Amir Sadollah from the last season of TUF and Kenny Florian are also on the card. Buying this PPV is enticing for one reason, to see two titans, Brock Lesnar and Randy Couture, slug it out in what should be, an absolute blood bath.
Couture vs Lesnar - When I heard the news that Randy broke his UFC contract and decided to pursue personal interests (Training fighters at his gym for $1,000/hr), I was pretty disgusted. He was the man so many young and old fighters looked up to because he was never the favorite, had so much heart and usually came away with the victory. I don't know why he decided to return to the octagon, most likely money, but I bet he's asking himself what the hell he just got into. For those of you who don't know, Brock Lesnar was a collegiate wrestling champion, WWE wrestler and a 6'3" 285 lb freak of nature that moves like a lightweight. If you haven't seen Lesnar vs Herring, please do yourself a favor and watch it. Herring completely underestimated Lesnar, left his guard down and Lesnar punched him so hard in the face that Herring not only fell down, but starting rolling back before Lesnar bum rushed and kneed him. He is no joke. Couture, on the other hand, has always been the underdog and let's not forget what happened between Couture and the 6'8" monster, Tim Sylvia. Couture has a lot of heart, very technical and never, ever, count him out of a fight.
Winner: Lesnar by Fatality
Florian vs Stevenson - Kenny Florian was always a very interesting fighter. Ever since I saw him on The Ultimate Fighter, season 1, I liked his calm demeanor and just overall attitude toward life. On top of that he is a great fighter that has exceptional blows, great heart and can take a beating. Joe Stevenson on the other hand, beside from winning The Ultimate Fighter season 2 welterweight division, have not seen much from him lately. Stevenson has great takedowns and submissions, but think Florian and his Jiu-Jitsu will nullify that
Winner: Florian by Submission
Sadollah vs Cantone - Cannot wait for this fight! Amir Sadollah was by far my most favorite fighter in all The Ultimate Fighters. He has the most genuine and down to earth personality and never gives up! He is technically a kick boxer, but submitted all of his opponents so far, hence he is very well-versed. I know absolutely nothing about Cantone except that he loves to take it to the ground. However, from Amir's past bouts, he has always come away with the submission.
